My OPC advised I take out GAP insurance for the paulty sum of £1000 over three years which would guarantee back to invoice value if written off etc
Just speaking to NFU Mutual and there comprehensive car insurance is essentially offering the equivalent for a very reasonable annual premium
Does anyone have experience of having to utilise this aspect of the cover and what was your experience?

An ALA policy will be around 25% of that (maybe less as you will find various discount codes on this frorum for an additional 10-20% off)
Macan GTS - Mar 17 to Jan 23
Macan SD - Apr 16 to Mar 17

I added new Macan S to my Admiral Policy for under £200 (for the period until the end of the calendar year)
BUT, now I see it is listed as Macan Turbo(?) I was very specific that it is an S, I guess telesales agents pickup what options they have in front. I will have to call again

I moved my car insurance to NFU this year, whilst the 24mth GAP included is a nice to have you lose it if like me you change insurers frequently. A stand alone GAP policy is the best option, it remains in place whoever I insure with.

I picked up my new "S" this week and almost went with Admiral, but the sales agent was VERY vague on the engine spec to be covered.Pivot wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 6:16 am I added new Macan S to my Admiral Policy for under £200 (for the period until the end of the calendar year)

So far ALL of the online quote engines I've looked at only have the old spec and in the event of a claim you could have a problem. Make sure they are prepared to issue you with written confirmation that they are accepting that what is on their system is the nearest match and that you are covered.
I ended up going through a broker to Aviiva who have had to do a manual policy update to the spec on their system ……………. guess what they also had the OLD spec listed.
