My wife has decided it would be nice to take our new Macan S for a drive to Lake Como in early June.
We have around 2/3 weeks to get there and back, including 3 nights in Bellagio.

My only thoughts are;
1) I don't want to sit on toll roads all of the way.
2) I have to go through Monaco at some point.

Any tips from the well travelled members are welcome.

What a good tour/trip. I've travelled a lot in the EU(?). Most enjoyable with the Mac's sat nav. Try setting it to avoid toll roads, most in France have an alternative road which seems just as fast in places, and a lot more picturesque. If you want to be realy adventurous, set it to Dynamic. But be prepared and allow for extra distances and time, a lot more.
Enjoy the trip, I'm sure you will. 8-)

We visited Isola Bella last September prior to our Route des Grandes Alpes trip with (nuclear) Nick and Ferdie. Beautiful!

Hmm, Lake Como, there are some very inconvenient mountain passes in your way crossing Switzerland :lol:

This is a useful reference for routes - just don't let the wife see you on the site :twisted:

I suggest you go up to Bellagio from Lecco side as Como road is interesting.

I did the Como Road last time and it was very enjoyable. Although, that was in a “Smart for four” hire car I had collected from the airport, so less of a worry.
Great info on the mountain roads.
Hopefully the wife will look up from internet shopping on her phone long enough to see some of it.
