At Porsche we carefully monitor the point at which our cars typically require their brakes to be checked based on either their age or mileage. From the data we have available we believe your Macan will shortly be due for its front brake pads to be replaced (prior to your next scheduled service
The above is an extract from an email I received from my local OPC. The car is just 2 years and 4 months old and had done around 19,000 miles. Based on previous cars the message above seems a little OTT.
The car had it's first service just 4 months ago and the brake pads passed inspection (no measurement but tyres were all 6mm suggesting not a lot of heavy brake use).
At what point have other owners had their brake pads replaced.
Front brake pads
More likely a blanket, time based sales e-mail than anything else....if you had a service 4 months ago they should have noted a % wear measurement on the service sheet (and would certainly have tried to sell you some pads at the time if they had thought they could gave justified it!) ; maybe worth a call expressing your concern.....

I received the same email ONE WEEK after my SD had it’s 111 point check for the extended warranty. My mileage is very similar to microbes and the inspection video said the pads were less than 50% worn!

Unfortunately this is Porsche for you. You almost certainly don't need your brake pads changed but it's a good money-spinner for Porsche to change them early. It's no different from the brake fluid change being charged separately from the service!

My Turbo is Sept 2016 built with 29,600 miles on the clock and still on original brake pads and discs. But I do minimal town driving.
Will probably need replacing soon.
