What's more important longer term to you? The life of the centre diff or the price of a new set of boots? It's a pain but I would think twice if it's suggested to be on the cusp. Maybe set up a Go fund me page on the forum Hopefully the UPS ppl pay out
Absolutely. And you may have hit on something with the Fundit idea.
Interestingly I have tread measurements from September 18 and more from February just gone and in some cases the tread has grown!

There is no ‘centre diff’, only a transfer box. And Porsche make no recommendation for tread difference front to back, only for each axle, the manual giving a limit of 30%.
So annoying and now takes up your time and inconvenient. Hope it all gets sorted.
Had to take this picture whilst in Rome
You would think having the smallest car you would get in and out of spaces. Even surround view cameras can’t get you out of this one
This is perfectly normal occurrence there.

Good find Nick. Thanks, I’ve just bookmarked it in Good To Know’. At 30% there’s no room for doubt. Two boots it must be.

They’d probably just pick up one end and swing it round.

Indeed. And with the manual quoting 30% it presents an unequivocal definition.
