Well in February I was at OPC Cambridge for an Oil change. Had a pleasant discussion about taking out a 2 year extended warranty. The service centre said they'd ring when my MOT came due (Macan registered 01/06/16) and we could book the car in for the MOT & the 111 check.

They rang today to inform me my MOT was due by 1st June (sic!) and they had already fully booked their slots to the 2nd of June!

I guess it's time to give up on Lancashire group dealerships. Any one with experience with the Hatfield OPC? All I've noticed from here was that they had got expensive?

...an MOT can be done anywhere, no need for it to be in a Porsche workshop.

But as ScotMac says, a 6 - 7 week lead time does seem a bit excessive for an 111 point check (especially as it will be followed by a £1000 + warranty purchase! )

In part it depends whether or not you need a courtesy car. When I booked mine (at Cambridge, a couple of weeks back) it was about 2-3 weeks wait if no car but mid-May for the courtesy car.

Oh the MOT is taken care of with my local garage. But to have them ring up as expected but to then have them state they can't fit it in took the biscuit. I'll ring Hatfield tomorrow... unless I should avoid using them?

I've always used Hatfield. Not the cheapest as others have stated. Owned by Porsche UK, service is good.

I had a broken window switch that needed replacing under warranty and they managed to fit me in a week before the warranty ended. It's usually a 3-4 week wait unless you need a loaner, then, like other OPC's they book a couple of months in advance. The only way to jump the queue is to get it trailered in by Porsche Assist.

Thanks I think I'll visit them.

Well that was a good visit booked in for the 111point check May 16th. They'll just collect from my home....Mind you I shouldn't have asked the price of a 40K service :o

👍

Might be worth asking if they’ll throw in an MOT foc if you're taking the warranty out through them?

Last week i booked mine in for its 4 year service/brake fluid change & warranty renewal. My opc were booked until 20/05 if i needed a courtesy car which i did.
They are due to do my MOT but may yet change my mind on that and have it done locally as the OPC charge full price because they can and local garages charge half that.
