Just goes to show whats possible if a Porsche isnt a must have . Car sales, including Porsche are tanking at the moment so its different world out there. An SE can smell desperation to buy at 100yds so full price the only option, but if you have a pocket full of money that you might spend somewhere else then the dynamic changes.

Just had email from my OPC telling me the only way to pay the balance is by way of bank transfer, no debit cards etc because of the cost????
Must be received two days prior to handover........"to insure a smooth experience" !!!!!!

These OPC people really are in a world of their own........and the worst part is, we let them get away with all this c**p

Interesting comment. When I got my care 2 years ago, there was a choice of about 30 numberplates to choose from and the sales people were busy. 2 years on I went for a service (on 1st March) - they only had 3 cars going out that day and not many more over the weekend. Quite a difference, so as you say, the dynamic can change. I bet you can't get a deal on a new 911 though!

Bang on. An OPC 150 miles away from me offered £4k off a brand new Cayman (6 miles on clock and unregistered)....shame the spec and colour not to my liking but just goes to show deals can be had.

Because nobody’s buying 4pot Porsche’s. Your money and enjoyment are much much safer with the previous generation 981.1 flat 6. I really do wonder why anybody would buy the 4pot.

Do not wonder and go and drive one.

Because they are a superior drive to the 981 generation (chassis and steering), the 4-pot engine noise you soon get used to.
We swapped from 981 GTS to 718 GTS. Shame that some people judge the 718 just by the noise it makes. :P
