Slightly odd statement that Macan S diesel and turbo models will have a drain and refill of the transmission oil plus filter change at 40,000 miles. Why only these models? and what about 80 and 120k miles?

After getting quotes of €1800 from Porsche Bordeaux for the 4 year service on my Macan SD and GBP 750 from Portsmouth, took the opportunity to have the car serviced here in Portugal whilst on holiday. Cost including brake fluid renewal, aircon check and 4 year service was €808 or about GBP 710. Interestingly labour here is €63.67 per hour. Despite Porsche prices for new cars being very high due to taxes, there seem to be loads of Porsches around, mainly Panameras and Cayennes.

My SD is coming up to 4 years old hence I called Wolverhampton OPC to check service pricing. I was told that the 4 years/40,000 mile fixed price service cost of £950 includes Brake Fluid, adBlue and a drain and refill of transmission (PDK) oil with filter change. My service book suggests that the latter isn't due until 40,000miles or 6 years, but given that a stand-alone PDK oil change would be about £400 then the fixed price total of £950 seems quite reasonable, despite only being on 22,000 miles. Thoughts?

My local OPC is now Silverstone but I quite fancy a trip back to Shropshire. The roads are too busy in this neck of the woods :D

£950 all in sounds a good deal....have you only done 22,000 miles in 4 years?

Sadly yes! Since purchase, three house (and 2 country) moves and now retirement have changed my lifestyle somewhat! :D Hopefully a Europe trip in September will go some way towards restoring balance! :P

Our SD was serviced on Friday. 60k miles, three years old. Cost from Belfast OPC was £637.24. I haven't seen the invoice yet as beloved dropped off / picked up. No brakes done yet (I can't believe that, bit like the tyres that lasted 60k too!).

I have yet another windscreen washer concentrate to add to my (ever growing) collection.

My car is booked into Silverstone for its 4 year service on Thursday. I thought I'd just check the fixed price service deal on line, and noticed that the price has just risen from £950 to £1150!! I'll give them a call and ask them to honour the price quoted when it was booked!

Fixed prices as follows: https://files1.porsche.com/filestore/download/uk/none/porscheservice-servicepricing-macan/default/4c7553d1-ad2d-11e9-80c4-005056bbdc38/Macan.pdf

(Oh and I have been informed that the price does not include the drain/refill of PDK oil!)

a lot of money for just an oil and filter change, have a look on the web for actual prices of filters and oil and say 3 hours labour, find a good local lad.

^ Exactly! Although it does include a brake fluid change, the rest of the service is simply various 'inspections', and at only 21000 miles they won't discover much. Once out of warranty I'll be servicing it myself!

I just don't see how they can justify a 21% price rise - even Brexit can't make that difference :x

But in the link above, the comment underneath the prices says that a transmission oil & filter change is included?
