Does anyone know which brand/spec of oil is now being used in the latest Macan. I know that it is no longer Mobil 1 as they need a different oil for variable oil changes therefore any details would be appreciated.

Macan Oil
Thanks Tim.
In my original post I should have been clear I was specifically talking about the Mobil 1 0W40 that goes in my other P car.
Looking at the Mobil 1 site I suspect the OPC's are using C20 but I was interested if anyone knew.
Unfortunatly a search on the Mobil 1 site brings back 0W40. Back to square one.

Been down to the garage, with my new Macan S I was given Mobil 1 standard met Porsche "C40". C20 seems to be 0W20 oil and hence would be wrong.paulmac wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 4:12 pm Thanks Tim.

just looked at Good to know for Macan 2019 My engine is 260 KW with a petrol particle filter and that combination is not shown under oils the nearest being the old turbo(?) with 294KW shown as C20 or C30 oil when particle filter present. In general, in the app, The A spec oils seem to be for cars without particle filers and the C spec oils for those with. So a C40 oil would seem to be correct for a 0w40 oil for a facelift Macan S.

For just a top-up of max one litre it’s not really that critical; if you can find the exact spec all well and good.

I concluded the thinner oil was for the 3.6 lit turbo engine. the particle filter change was from a Porsche A type to a C type which is about ash residue apparently
