My motor sport bucket list -
Le Mans which I went to in 2011 and camped within circuit, never again!
Monaco went in 2017 and stayed in Nice as the base as cheaper and excellent train link each day to the circuit. The atmosphere and setting are fabulous and the noise is huge. It's like no other F1 circuit.
Daytona - intend to go in the next couple of years.
In Monaco today..
So, apart from the privileged areas, where is the best place/grandstand to watch the race?

SV won that year - see pic 2 - and this was as close as I got to him; LH only managed 7th so no selfie.
Did you spot the Macans in the pits pic 1?

Really depends on how much you are prepared to spend. The swimming pool area and Casino square are both really good. The cheapest is the hillside on the west side with free-for-all standing / seating, but probably the the best overall view of the circuit.
There are huge TAG Heuer cinema size screens with live coverage to watch the race even if you have a limited view from your grandstand seat.

A bucket list thing so 1) worth saving for and 2) due consideration needs to be made for ageing bonesSAC1 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 12:37 pmReally depends on how much you are prepared to spend. Hi Steve. Where was the second photo taken from? Your private helicopter?

I wish Simon .....it was taken from Zone Debout on Avenue de la Quarantaine.
Here's a pic from that location... a great spectator vantage point if you've got good eye sight or binoculars

^^^ Fantastic! No other event in the F1 calendar seems to come close to the glamour of Monaco.
