“Lost £19k in 2 months.
Makes your gts look Uber cheap!”
Yep, I guess it is a cost of being in the game and, to put it in perspective, I do know of someone who recently lost 63k in depreciation on an Aston after 3 months although it was a DBS.....

Thanks for the comments all,
it was a pipe dream really,
The GTS will stay for a while yet, hardly used it - need to enjoy it.
Not really worth the hassle with an RS4 by the sounds.....

I keep an eye on OPC values, knock £7k off and use that as a weather vane for the value of my car. Currently looking like £40k for a £65k new, 21 month old, 13k miler (SD). That assumes that the current 'dieselaphobia' isn't adding extra grief?
So, at £1,200 pcm, this is currently the worst depreciation of the 4 Porsche ('s?) I have owned. At least the 116610 LV is looking good on Watchfinder!

Run it for 10 years. Probably worth 8k at that stage. Cost £600 a month. Job done. I did that with my X5.nsm3 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 8:19 am I keep an eye on OPC values, knock £7k off and use that as a weather vane for the value of my car. I read a news item yesterday. That said in the States, 2nd hand prices for top end cars are now around 50% down than they were a year ago and more. A real hit. What happens in the US usually comes to UK eventually.
All the more reason to keep the car and pass it on to the family in your Will as a treasured possession.
I say to our Daughter that one day she will own a Porsche.

Agree, currently doing same with Q5, now at 7.5 years, 55k miles, still worth £12k (?) from £42k new, so running around £330/pcm - not bad at all?Tom 2000 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 9:59 amRun it for 10 years. I've got one too, bought in 2017 before the prices went silly. I also have a GMT2 BLNR, worn once and currently 14k on Watchfinder.nsm3 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 8:19 am I keep an eye on OPC values, knock £7k off and use that as a weather vane for the value of my car. I would have said 65% was pretty good after 3 years though maybe a bit low with the mileage?
Fleet news predicts ~63% for a 2019 after 30k/3 years (only 2 models listed)

Though try that with a £48k F Pace and you're looking at 50%...
