I have had this message now and again in my New Macan S. It has usually occurred 1) when I have been travelling in rural areas, i,e. Mid Wales and rural Norfolk and Suffolk where there is often breaks in 3G/4g phone reception.
or 2) I have turned off the ignition, not knowing an update was in progress.
When I have relocated the car to civilisation and looked on the PCM to see whether there are any outstanding updates, I see none outstanding and there I assume the car has since completed the "failed" update successfully

I have had same issue, and have been doing lots of short trips so I suspect it is not having enough time to download. I have ignored up to now as doesnt seem to be an issue. Perhaps if still there in a week, then it is a fault with the update file on Porsche's side and they need to address

I'm also seeing the same message on a daily basis.

I'm getting this too!!! I also checked the software updates as I was going to do it sat on the drive, but it says there are none.
I'll email the OPC about it, maybe they can shed some light.

Just to also add I too have been getting the same message daily for probably a few weeks. Again when I check says no update pending.
Was just planning to mention to the dealer when it goes in to have heated steering wheel fixed..
