My 718 Cayman came with a stone chip in the screen which had been badly repaired and needless to say I was not happy about it. Long story short the principal at East London Porsche agreed they had fallen short of their usual high standards and will replace the screen free of charge. Last week the screen came in and I arranged for the car to be picked up on Friday. I enquired about a loan car as I was due to go away for my birthday and they agreed to drop one off.....which they did, on time, and with a birthday card hoping I enjoy the weekend....in this!

Totally blown away by this gesture and boy I lapped it up.....all 600 miles! What an awesome machine. Fantastic motorway cruiser which returned over 30MPG in slow stop/start traffic and then of course stamp on the shouty pedal and you're rewarded with an assault on the senses. It is intoxicating and am so jealous of anyone that is fortunate enough to own one of these machines. I now get Porsche and if I don't own one of these in my lifetime then I will be disappointed. Downside of course is that it has taken the gloss off my Cayman LOL!

Hats off to ELP....this is a birthday I will never forget. :D

Poor you, having to suffer a few days in the finest Porsche made. Now only a matter of time to the overwhelming urge to own one has you back in the OPC negotiating ;)

Every cloud has a silver lining! [emoji2]

What a happy coincidence of a stone chip, birthday and a 911 for the weekend driving on the great roads. [emoji41]

All Porsche roads lead to a 911! Don't worry the Cayman is a fantstic car and, in some ways, better than a 911 although I wouldn't swap back ;)
