I have been doing a lot of reading of posts on this forum and other websites.

There is conflicting advice about a having a Macan and kids. When the Macan S arrives, we will have a 4 year old and a 1 year old.

Just want to get other owners' views on having a Macan and 2 kids in child seats in the back (maxi cosi rodifix and a maxi cosi pearl). I'm not fussed about taking a 5th passenger in the middle...they can use their own car! Will the kids in the back and adults in the front have enough room (I’m 5’ 8” and the other half is 5’ 3”)?

We travel “relatively light” and think the 500l boot should be fine for a yoyo stroller and other kid paraphernalia, plus shopping. And if we want to do longer trips, I plan to get a roof box. Views on this are welcome too.

Thanks!

More than ample room for all four, and plenty of room in the boot for all the equipment that comes with a young family

Can’t comment on car seats, but I’m 6 ft, Mrs P is 5”6 and we regularly carry our two adult sons, both 6 ft in the back in comfort (including 7 - 8hr trips to Reims across the chunnel)

Perhaps take your family to your Porsche dealer, with your child seats, and check it out. Good reason for an extended test drive too.

We use two Britax Isofix child seats and it all fits fine.

Thanks all for the comments

We are currently abroad so can't visit our dealership, but wanted to secure a car for when we return. As per usual the internet spooked us re the size for 2 kids.

Depends very much on the car seats in question. When I fitted our grandson's rear facing 'Joie Every Stage' behind my driver's seat there was barely enough room - I'm 180cm so my seat is usually quite far back.

I think that most forward facing seats would be fine - so once your youngest is 15 months (min age for forward facing seats) you wont have a problem.

If you are abroad why not visit a foreign OPC and test your seats - they'll understand.

EDIT: Found a picture of the seat fitted!

I am 6ft 1 and when I have the drivers seat in a comfortable position there is very little room behind.

Also, having owned 2 Cayennes and now a Macan, I am going back to a Cayenne as I find the Macan boot too small.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?
