I personally prefer the gen 1 rear lights, reminds me of the 928, but I bought new S so I have the bling rear lights.

Sadly, the gen 1 resale is hit by the gen 2 model and the fact that the supply is no longer strangled in an emission-pretzel-grip!

With regards to the generation 1 and generation 2 confusion. It seems that the facelifted Macan is still considered the first generation.
I just searched on the Porsche approved used website and you can either select generation 1 or generation 1 (II).
There is no generation 2 as yet.

Fair point, the same platform, so technically gen 1. However, facelift model would typically be just cosmetic, mostly in the tupperware dept.

Major changes to the engine, emission, dashboard and other components, nudge us to gen 2.

We should also consider it within the VAG stables. Is the current VW Golf GTI mk7 or mk8? Some new mk’s were on the same platform.

I would respectfully disagree with this statement as I consider the 991.1 and 991.2 change from N/A to Turbo engines dropping from 3.8 to 3.0 litre displacement a lot more than just cosmetic. Consequently I would agree that we are now on Mac 1.2 although it's much easier to just say Gen 2!

Is it your opinion Semerka? Or do you have evidence to support it?

I raised your opinion with my vehicle shipping sticker stating MACAN II
Can you match me or do you fold? [emoji38]

I wouldn’t presume to answer in Semerka’s place but the post read..

It's not my opinion, the cars are divided like that on the Porsche used approved website when you wish to narrow down a search.
I did not search for it to prove a point, I was browsing through the approved used Macan Turbo's on offer to check the prices and it struck me that they divided them into Generation 1 and Generation 1 (II) and I thought of this thread. Sad life.

Makes no difference to anyone in real life though. ;)
