It is difficult to know just what he does like!!

Probably sees himself as some kind of uber-reviewer but he has long since crossed the line to become just an old grump IMHO, that is :D

I haven't read the review as yet but I just think for some reason he does not like Porsche ( the company). :o

What's not to like about the cars. :D :D :D

I've been waiting 4 years for him to review the Macan.

He reviewed the 2 litre and he thought it was slow (only 0-62 in 6.7seconds) and he also criticised the ride. Most critics reckon it's the best handling SUV but that seems to have passed him by. He might have preferred my 3 litre petrol with air suspension but he seems to find fault with most things except silly, impractical supercars. He's a dinosaur and his column, once a compelling read, is very mediocre nowadays.

It's not just his hearing that's going, seems like his car "analysis" too.
Then again, it's the 4 cylinder Macan so he might prefer more power, and also he loves Land Rover ģroup and Italian cars. So Porsche will never get him drooling. His loss. I still like him though.😊

Guys, JC is a journo and an entertainer, not a professional driver. He mocks most things and people seem to like his programs. I even have his book, for light entertainment.
BUT I would never buy a car on his advice.
He seems to like Mercedes 600 Grosser, supercars, tractors and other impractical vehicles. It’s fun to watch, nothing more nothing less.

+1, Nick.

For some, his ‘comedy’ is entertaining, but he is not my cup of tea.

As for a serious motoring journalist, not any more, if he ever was.

His views would not sway me either way on a car buying decision.

Give me someone like Henry Catchpole or Chris Harris any day. :)

Clearly! When he complains about the ride quality you just know he's talking out of his backside!
