Not a bad price for new tyres. I was budgeting for about £1,000.
I've only got 29,000 miles on mine
Macan tyres
. The damage is right around the centre of the tread

Hmm, Pielli? They have a history of premature cracking within the tread, so much so that tyres were being replaced by Pirelli.............
This was on Cayman/911 around 2017 if I remember correctly

The damage is right smack bang in the centre of the front nearside tyre (and starting on the other front tyre too). I did not check to see just how far around the damage extended but I have no reason to think other than that it went all the way round. At the time I was more concerned with getting safely to the Porsche dealership for 4 new tyres than taking good photographs. I too thought the price was very good.
Great to hear the Porsche prices were very reasonable. I'd only go to a Porsche main dealer to get my tyres replaced, on the basis they're most likely to take care of my alloys, fit the correct tyre, and sort the TPM. And, if something did get damaged, I'd hope they would resolve. Tyres seem to be very tricky to replace without damaging the alloy, so I have nightmares of that happening!
