There's still scope to spend money. Using the S configurator and taking into account what is standard on the Turbo I reckon a new Turbo specced to the level of my own 2019 S would be just over £81K i.e.about £13k more

Someone must know the engine from the Cayenne S and Panamera S or even RS6 etc

Am willing to bet that the vast majority of Turbo buyers will spec 21” wheels, as per the 911 Turbo items in all the marketing shots.

Was expecting it to be a lot faster to compete with the Alfa. Looking at the figures only 0.2 seconds quicker than the old one. At least with the turbo model the standard spec is pretty good as before.
US confuserator has an option for smartphone compartment with wireless charging. Not available on the UK one.

I have a Cayenne S which has the same engine and whilst I am still 'running in' the engine is really good. The exhaust is quite quiet however once you accelerate beyond 2,500 revs, the engine gives a real throaty roar and plenty of urge.
The manual says to keep the revs below 4,000 for the first 3,000km, so once I have passed that hurdle and give the engine some more beans, I will let you know.

So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?

Previous Turbo had all of that as standard equipment, bar the SD mirrors
Sounds like the only additional equipment is PSE, LED front lights and the coated brakes (good idea that if free)

Am not sure that anything is ‘free’ if the Turbo costs around £20k more than the S.
