I accidentally pushed against my fuel flap when replacing the pump nozzle the other day, as I'd parked a little close to the pump. Checked that there is a fair gap between the flap and bodywork and thought no more of it.
In the sunshine yesterday, I noticed that the edge of the flap had put a ding in the nice curved, hip area of the rear quarter panel, which sticks out like a sore thumb!
Good news is it looks like a paintless repair can be achieved for either £120 or £245, dependant on how "easily" the filler surround panel comes out?
Anyhoo, the message is - Don't lean on your fuel filler flaps!
