Was it a p/ex for the Allroad or did you find another buyer?
Sure... I got £35,000.

PX only offered me £31,000, apparently die diesels aren’t sought after anymore. If only the salesman at the OPC told me that!

What’s annoying is inlaid £58,000 for the car, so took a massive hit.
I guess you also forked out for a service in May this year as well.

Yep. Bigger back seat. Bigger boot. A Macan isn’t as big as a Q5 and an A6 Avant (allroad) is much bigger than a Q5...

Strange that my OPC said diesels are in demand when I was buying in July, probably needed to shift them.

If diesels were so in demand, it's strange that Porsche stopped selling them in March 2018, 5/6 months after I bought mine?

I wouldn't mind, but I almost switched to a 2nd hand GTS at the time, but was talked out of it on the basis that it would lose more money!

All points to long term ownership being the only sensible option, for me?

Of course they are in demand, just look how many diesels were sold in comparison to petrols. Porsche took a corporate decision to stop selling diesels per se, probably due to VW diesel gate and the bad press following that.
When I bought mine in July I really had to be on the ball and phone the supplier quickly every time a decent spec diesel went up for sale, I lost out on two before I was quick enough. But you see petrols hanging around for weeks.

Sorry for the thread swerve.

I see OPC Hampshire have an 11,500 miler with pretty low spec up for £47,990, so the OP's 'trade-in' offer does seem very low?

Interesting - it's very difficult, I ended up GIVING my diesel Q5 to my son rather than 'give' it to the dealer at the px price they offered me.
