Well, probably the casing around it,when ever gripping firmly
Really annoying. Anyone else have this?

There's a bit here - https://www.macanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=7288&p=160293&hilit=steering+column#p160293
If you do a search on 'rattles', 'clunks', 'creaks' you'll find more.
Sometimes it's a case of 'adjusting' something with a little well judged push, or the application of double sided tape or a piece of foam. Pipe insulation is quite handy for this.
It's a fact of life that, no matter how expensive, cars contain trim that can and will rattle occasionally.

There is a "know" fix for this (or something very similar) which entails replacing the steering shaft - P95B419753E. Fixed mine!

Sounds a bit drastic!
If you grip the steering wheel firmly and push or pull that’s when it happens
Doesn’t happen on its own or relaxed driving. If that makes sense?
Same as you?
Cheers
Alan
No, this was a creaking / groaning at low speed manoeuvring, so on weight transfer at low speeds. “Common” problem and done under warranty.

Resurrecting an old thread....as this has started happening to my 2015 S immediately after having Power Steering Plus retro fitted (which is great btw).
Noticeable creaking and groaning audibly and also felt through the steering wheel at low speeds when turning.
The OPC mentioned that a new part is fitted as well as a software update for PSP so I'm guessing it's to do with that.
I have reported it and they are going to get back to me.
Anyone with similar experiences?

My car has it and I think I will probably get the service department to return it to standard. Quite a few have have updated it on their Macans and I have never heard them mention hardware modifications
