The oil mark up is simply ridiculous, it's probably a couple of £ a litre in the quantity they are buying it in at. BMW aren't far off, I think they were about £20 a litre with the vat. I eventually started supplying my own. I was phoning around recently and 3 out of 4 OPCs wouldn't allow you to supply your own oil.

OUCH!
FWIW, in the US, at a Walmart store one can buy a 5 (US) quart jug of Mobil1 0W40 for
about $22. Two jugs will be more than enough to perform a (3.5L) Macan oil & filter change.
An OEM filter runs less then $20 on Amazon.
As a DYI operation it is much cheaper than the dealer (BIG $$$) or an aftermarket Porsche specialist
(~$250).

Thanks for your replies, Paul and Big Phil.
On a related note ..... on a cold day (I live in Surrey, so not so cold as regions further north), we're supposed to drive at a 'sensible speed' until the engine oil warms up. Watching the temperature gauge on the dashboard, approximately at what temperature is the engine considered sufficiently warmed up, to drive, say above 40 mph ?

Same with all engines; it's more about not revving excessively and not using full power.
In this context 70mph is less than half full speed and sensible.
Mine gets up to temperature very quickly.
Worst practice is to leave it ticking over in the yard for 10 minutes to warm up.
I wouldn't use full power under 90 degrees.

+1. I keep the revs to no more than 4,000 until the engine oil has reached 90 degrees.
I note the engine oil steadies at a higher temp in Normal mode compared to Sport mode.

+1 ( alright, maybe 80 degrees!)
(and yes, oil temp is lower in sport mode, no need for “economy”)
Also, if you are doing 4000 rpm in most gears.....you’ll soon loose your licence
