Hello all,
I am thinking about selling my Macan GTS as I am working from home a lot and hardly use it. In two minds really as I love it. Anyway I asked my local OPC and was offered £39.5K ... ouch! Looked on WBAC and they are offering £43.5K. It's always a bit difficult to guage where to price it so any input from fellow members would be most appreciated.
The spec is as follows:
2017 Macan GTS
Registered March 2017 so before the road tax hike.
Current mileage 13200 miles
Exterior Colour Night Blue Metallic
Interior GTS full black leather interior package with red stitching (red seat belts and red rev counter)
Exterior LED main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus)
ParkAssist (front and rear) with Surround View
Panoramic roof system
Privacy glass
Sideblades painted in exterior colour
SportDesign exterior mirrors Exclusive
Transmission / Chassis G1D Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Power steering Plus
Sport Chrono Package

Wheels 20 inch RS Spyder Design wheel painted in black (satin gloss finish)
Wheel Accessories H6N All-season tyres for 20-inch alloy wheels
18-inch collapsible spare wheel
Lane Change Assist
Automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors
Light comfort package (i.c.w driver memory package, comfort memory package or adaptive Sports seats with comfort memory package)
Adaptive sports seats with comfort memory package (18-way)
Seat heating (front)

It has the odd stone chip on the bonnet. All the alloys are unmarked.
Balance of warranty to March 2020.

Ouch indeed. £39.5k appears to be a derisory offer from the OPC. Although had a similar experience with my same age and similar spec GTS earlier in the year when I was looking to p/ex against a new 992. I decided to keep my car on the basis that as it is on a 4 yr PCP I will simply hand it back in Mar 2021. On current trend it should be worth around £4.50 by then.
I was planning to buy the car outright with a view to keeping it but am now of the view that it is pointless spaffing more cash up the wall on it given the rate of depreciation and that by Mar 21 the car market will have moved on hugely. The new electric Volvo XC40 is looking quite promising.

Yes very poor offer from my OPC. I will try a few others and see what they come back with. I could always go for a private sale. I am really in no rush to sell but my head says sell it if you are hardly using it. The trouble is I have been spoilt owning a PorscheRigger wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 11:50 am Ouch indeed. £39.5k appears to be a derisory offer from the OPC. I agree it makes sense to keep your car on the 4 year PCP and hand it back. By Mar 21 the electric cars should have come a long way. I haven't as yet test driven any electric cars. I must look into the XC40.

Very nice spec car.
My guess from buying experience 6 months ago:
OPC will retail at about 50k and take a bid of 48.5k
Put it up at 46k private and take 45 and it should sell easily
any private buyer will have to factor in £1400 for 2 year warranty

I own a similar spec car (with air) although it is a few months older and I reckon £45K is a 'good' price.
Macan GTS: PH1UFLL8
Stunning spec mate! One of my three favourite colours on the GTS too.
If I was in the market for one, I would jump on this - no question. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks wizzzard
I am going to put it in the for sale section later today.
Called a few OPCs waiting for them to get back to me.

Hi,
Firstly thanks all for a very informative forum. I finally managed to go for a test drive in one of these at my local opc in the weekend. That confirmed it was a good choice for me, enough space in the back for kids and a big step up handling wise from a 958 cayenne.
Could you please pm some contact details?
Thanks
