Firstly I would like to apologise as all I seem to post is negative issues but hopefully this will be the last one.

I have had some issues with porsche approved used Macan as posted previously, but the lastest issue i would be grateful on your comments.
Initially the car was taken to OPC but not where i purchased the car (due to distance) to have a look at faulty heated screen, while there a safety check was done and highlighted a few issues, one of which was the front 2 tyres were not N rated, but it,s the second issue that concerns me. They noted that the front 2 brake calliper flexy hoses were not secured to retaining brackets and were rubbing/chaffing against the chassis. I know the supplying dealership had the front callipers off as they replaced the discs.
Personally i think this was a dangerous error and could have ended in a accident if it had not been spotted ?

Curious on any thoughts or suggestions anyone has on this ? BTW they have had the macan for 2 weeks and still haven,t resolved the heated rear screen but have said the will replace front 2 tyres.

I would expect them to replace the hoses if there is any damage to them, otherwise to secure them as they should be. If they resist, stage one is speak to service manager, stage two meeting with dealer principal, stage three contact Porsche Customer Service. For a relatively low cost, but safety related issue, applying pressure through those stages should resolve it.

Just an update on the issues I have with dealership. After having the car for 2 1/2 weeks it was returned yesterday stating the sales manager had “quality checked the car & was happy to return it to me “
Here’s a few pictures of the replacement rear screen.
Unbelievable or what ?

I would not even call or email about that. Go to dealership and ask to see this Sales Manager. Take him a walk outside and ask him what he thinks of the job he signed off apparently. Should a lot of red faces followed by a meeting with the Dealer Principal.

That's exactly what they,ve done !!

I,m actually scared to let them put their hands near the car again, they are slowly destroying the car bit by bit.

Was the original glass the factory-fitted privacy glass? Or did it have film applied? If the former, I'm gobsmacked the dealer would replace with plain glass and put film on.

My last car didn't have factory-fitted privacy glass, so I retrospectively got film added. However I swore I'd never do it again. I was never happy with the finish, primarily the bubbly bit an inch from the edges always looked naff.
