Over the last few weeks, I have noticed an annoying rattle in our McCann. It's Beloved's daily driver and even she noticed it. Yesterday, we swopped cars to allow me to have a look. I was able to find it; it's the key rattling in the dashboard.

On our key ring are the car key, a yale latch lock-type of key and a mortise lock-type key. So there is a bit of rearward weight on the key. I haven't yet tried the replacement key (we usually just use one with the spare in safe storage).

Anyone else ever encounter anything like this, and more importantly, can it be cured?

😱
You mean you have more than one key on the car key ring!
My house keys are safely on a separate band in my pocket.

You could take it back to your OPC.
However, that may invalidate your warranty due to the unauthorised modification of adding house keys to your car key.
I’d get a local specialist to remove them πŸ˜‚

Imagine trying to tell any wife to put her house keys separate from the car keys! Have you any idea how long it takes her to find the existing trio in the bottomless pit of her handbag?

Never, ever have any key other than the car on the car key ring, whether Skoda, Hyundai or whatever..............

I always keep the key entirely separately. No other keys and not even a key ring, Porsche or otherwise! ;) Just the key = no rattles! Simples!
