I’ve had a sunroof on every main car I’ve owned so won’t be without it

I’ve also had trouble on every Pano roof I’ve owned be it bmw, Audi, merc!!

Nothing wrong with this one yet !

Lightens the interior up nicely.

Do dealers get paid on value of order? I didn’t think so , therefore what is in it for them to suggest you order it

The dealership profit margin is a % of the invoice value; the higher the invoice, the more ££s they earn

😊

(depending on dealership and pay structures they may also get a % of retained margin - but I accept that an extra, say £25 is not really worth “forcing” a customer option choice)

What’s in it for the dealer if they get the pan roof and other nice extras added? I don’t think it’s the minimal margin on the extra invoice value, instead it’s when the car comes back at end of the PCP or for trade in, then they get a much easier car to sell, which has all of those expensive "must have extras". The original buyer maybe gets a 10% return on those extras, the next buyer gets a bargain 2/3 year old, high spec car and the OPC sells at a premium beyond the value you got for those extra at trade in time. Porsche wins, dealer wins and original purchaser funds the whole process.

The panoramic roof was always one of my must have options. It makes the interior so much lighter and and also great for ventilation without having to open a window.

I've never has a problem with mine. I have cleaned the drains a couple of times.

Must have option for me and for the residuals. I've managed to drive quite a few Porsche and got good resale values because I've specced the car correctly - Pan roof was on every Macan I've had. If you are keeping it forever and it's for you and you are not bothered about residuals then spec what you like.

 by that way you will also have the fasted one ;) Although it is not agreed that white is the lightest (mass) colour in aerospace circles, perhaps you should ask for an unpainted car
