^^
you can take it out at anytime....if you are confident you're keeping the car you could buy the warranty now, protect yourself from any price rises, and (possibly) get the inspection done foc at the next service..

I suppose my mind forced me in to the Extended ....

In October my Transfer box failed at only 11K & I had to have a replacement.

This was done under the original manufacturers Warranty which the dealer says would have been around 4K all in.

I know the Extended can be taken out any time ..

I would like to sell my Macan when the time comes to a Private buyer-one to get maximum from it & two so the new owner gets a better deal, it will certainly help with a Porsche Warranty

Hi folks, my Macan GTS is 3 years old in April 2020 has done nearly 80k and it has never missed a beat, not sure if I have just been lucky or not, but I have enjoyed every mile I have travelled in this car. However, the car is now my "weekend" only car and the annual mileage will now only been cira 5k PA (more like 2-3k PA).
I am also wondering if the extended 2-year warranty is a good option or if I should just keep my fingers🤞 crossed for the next year or two? as the car has a full-service history (four services in less than 3 years) I would hope Porsche would look upon any possible claims after April 20 with some sympathy or am I just being foolish 😁 to think Porsche will offer any type of "goodwill" when it comes to money?

I took the two year warranty in October, I paid £250 for the 111 point check, £1440 for the warranty and £285 for the assist. This works out cheaper than my previous 2015 BMW 535d which was £87 per month with a £100 excess on every claim.
My transfer box was replaced in Nov, one month into the warranty at 14k miles, not sure if they would have changed the box for free without the extended warranty, I suspect I may have had to pay for the labour.
Also, during the 111 point check they found a gearbox leak which was duly fixed at no cost, so for me that was worth it.

Thanks all for your help and opinions. I now feel better "armed" to discuss the extended warranty options with the OPC. Will update if outcome significantly contradicts the discussion thread so far.
