Just obtained an insurance quote for the GTS and compared to the quote I obtained a little while back for the S it is about £350 a year more to insure the GTS.

The cheapest quote I obtained for the S was £340 and the cheapest for the GTS is £690. Both quotes were for a vehicle cost of £73K.

I was not expecting the GTS to be so much more. It may be early days yet as I only received 6 quotes for the GTS from the comparison site I used compared to 41 quotes for the S.

I think insurers are only just adding the GTS.

I was running the same just before reading this - I got only 8 quotes on a £65k value and best price £515. Didnt check the S, but our Cayman got 45+ quotes £360.

Maybe it is just early days. None of those competitively quoting for the S quoted for the GTS.

I currently am with Avivia multi car A4 quattro and Brand new Cayman (Last March) £490 for both with discount applied. Not sure how much the Gen 1 vs Gen 2 performance figures differ, but it could be down to it being new an new unreleased car I guess.

When I swapped from an SD to a GTS a few years ago the insurance cost went down by around 20%, currently pay £300 pa with NFU.

NFU seem to be competative for Macan but you will have to call them. They are not on comparison sites and don't have a website quote facility.

I received excellent service from their sales team and and found their price to be good value for the cover offered.

I have found LV= to have the best value cover over the last 3 years of doing comparisons.

Always found NFU to be very expensive using their site https://www.nfumutual.co.uk/ppc/md-car/car-insurance-get-a-quote/, but perhaps I should phone them next time.

NFU would be my preferred insurer. I used them for my last Macan and found them to be no more expensive than others. It does, however, depend on where you live.

As standard you get motor legal protection, RAC breakdown cover and 2yrs new car replacement if stolen or written off.

NFU is very postcode dependent and I am fortunate to live in a low risk area. 911 is £300 pa with no tracker required (£50 less than the Macan GTS was). Was always with LV before who are also very good but require a tracker on cars valued over, I think, £50k.
