So could they not have got their fingers out and have the car ready for you before they closed which was likely only yesterday! Think I wouldn’t be accepting that too easily as it’s sitting there near enough ready to go.

Just remember in this crisis, the priority is not driving it put putting photos of the new car on the forum ;) ;) ;) ;) and we would not like to see you getting fined and locked up for breaking government restrictions

In these unprecedented circumstances, I'm actually relieved that it's tucked up safe & sound in the closed dealership's showroom. Who knows how many weeks and months this will be going on with virtual lock down now, or maybe full lock down soon?

Especially now that I do not have to concern myself with getting my SD in for an MOT by 1 May:

"The government today have announced that all cars and motorcycles due their MOT on March 30th 2020 or after have now got an additional six months to be tested. This takes an enormous strain off the motor industry. For more information on these temporary changes to the law please see

My new S is sitting at the OPC registered but not taxed and not insured by me. All told, I’d rather it’s safe there than conspicuously in my drive. It’s not as if I’d use it anyway given the lockdown. The only place I’ll be going near term is the shops and I either walk to a nearby supermarket or take the i3 on electric power to a supermarket further away.
