we were very lucky. I wasn’t sure it was going to make it. It was delivered from reading to Mayfair this morning and then delivered to Surrey by my sales guy. 😅

Good looking car. In the bright sunlight, the interior looked almost grey rather than black. In fact I had to double check your Porsche Code to confirm.

At least someone has had some good news in these depressing times. Running it in will probably take some time though. :D

?? has to be both.....can’t register a car without taxing it ??

(Unless you then SORN it straight away, but you’d need the log-book.)

Looks good, Hedgehog. Will be interested in your views on Macan GTS 1 vs Macan GTS 2. :)

Had a quick blast around the block and set up our phones and CarPlay etc.

Initial thoughts were;
gear changes more responsive in manual (paddle) mode
PCM : A bit quirky, set up ok, looks promising tho and the large display is great. I think I need to learn a bit more before commenting properly.
Will write a full review if /when I get a chance.

To be fair, we didn’t get the usual handover you would expect when buying a new car so never went through any details with our rep. Paperwork was all exchanged/signed electronically by email and conforming to our best endeavours of social distancing I was handed a key. Spare key, tags and everything else was left in the car.
Unusual times indeed!

Even though I had read the manual beforehand, have reasonable technology skills and a detailed handover and explanation for my new S 11 months ago, it was probably 4 months with the car before I settled on my current settings/form for the centre screen. The flexibility is beyond the technology grasped by most salesman. I actually picked up one or two ideas from the car I drove at PEC in June and the PEC instructor showed me how to bring back a feature I liked but had lost by accident. That related to the widgets the were on some you can changes between optional content by vertical swiping. appear form

Very surprised Porsche Reading and Mayfair did this, given rules on non essential travel, etc, and the fact that most, if not all, OPCs have been closed since Tuesday. Let's hope your sales guy didn't deliver something you weren't expecting!

Porsche GB closed all their showrooms on Monday night. The rules tbh, were grey at best, as anyone is allowed to go to work if their work cannot be carried out from home. I think they cleared their last 3 new cars on Wednesday and then the sales staff would be working from home.
Anyway glad they did even if it won’t get a great deal of use in the coming weeks.👍

Be safe all
