Newbie questions - stepping into the world of Macan
Agree on the 3L vs 2L and thinking about the available cars currently showing, actually more 2L availability would more likely mean the S models are selling so less availability.

1. Having owned both a 2.0 and an S, I’d say the S is worth the relatively small difference in cost for the uplift in power. But the 2.0 is still a great choice.
2. A whole lot of factors come into choosing wheels - a balance of handling, cost, appearance, fuel economy, ride, kerbing damage. I’d suggest a ‘middle’ 19 or 20.
3. I’d seek the options you want and wouldn’t worry about resale. They’ll add next to nothing in value when you come to sell anyway. (For what its worth I particularly like ACC and Surround View.)
Good luck!

1) I’m a Macan newbie too with an S on order. Having enjoyed V6 and V8 cars over many years if I’m spending such a large sum of money on a car I want either electric or a 6 / 8 cylinder engine. It’s not a question of power as much as refinement and the way the power is delivered. If its only a 4-cylinder car I’ll choose something a lot less expensive.
2) My interest in wheels is keeping them small for comfort and robustness
3) Options. There’s a separate thread on this. I really don’t care about future owners – this is my car, soon, and I’ll order it the way I want with minimal options. When it comes to resale it will have a lower price due to less options and that will be attractive to some buyers.

You may want to consider the low cost "smokers pack" that provides a spring loaded cover for the 'hole' below the gear selector on the transmission tunnel.
Wheels are a personal choice and you will get a good ride quality on the 18" (without PASM) plus minimal exposure to kerbing damage. You may not even need the 'power steering plus, option.

Maybe you are a small wheel person but the SE will audibly groan when they see 18" wheels. Wheels make or break a Macan IMHO and nothing less than 20" at least.

After a few sleepless nights, I have decided to make a couple of ‘major’ changes to my build...
-addition of PASM
-Addition of 20” Macan Turbo wheels painted in Black (high-gloss)
This being my first new car and my first Porsche, I was thinking - I came all the way till here, why compromise on something now, especially if it’s something that’s substantially going to impact the looks? (And yes, I do care about looks and the ‘emotional’ side of cars, motorcycles etc).
To be frank, I was initially put off by the cost and was thinking and trying to justify to myself that I would be happy with 18” stock rims. But I eventually found myself constantly thinking about this (and actually losing sleep over it lol), constantly searching for pictures of wheels and considering retro-fitting options, I came to realise that if I ever intended to sport bigger rims, it’s A LOT more economical and practical to just get them done now... (I doubt having a spare set of 18” wheels in my balcony or living room in my flat in central London would be nice )
My updated build:-

I feel relieved in a very strange way.
