Rejected? without the 'required' three attempts to rectify? What was wrong with it (apart from the colour and interior combo :D :x :o  )

The OPC tried all ways to build our confidence in the car but where the fault happened it could have been so much worse, doesn’t want thinking about! They have said that a new steering column and modules need to be fitted. And the colour combo was awesome in the flesh!

It’s not put me off the brand just Mrs Moz, I’m looking at the next Macan

^^^ Sorry to hear about your experience. I hope that the next Macan does not cost you noticeably more than the ‘unlucky’ one. :)

Understand the disappointment but seems pretty hasty. Why will a new Macan give you more confidence than the old one which had one fault which could have been repaired? I could understand if there was an issue likely to have a lasting effect on the old car like say for example it suffered body damage that had been badly repaired but this was a mechanical part needing replaced.

Agreed, basically, one component has failed. even with the best testing that happens and is just unlucky. It affects nothing else on the vehicle. It is different to a recurring fault that cannot be traced.

Bizarre IMHO, one thing broke and got fixed

and now your OPC have to try and shift a crayon / red car ;)

There's at least as much chance that the power steering on a new replacement car will fail as the new replacement on the original car. Not sure whats being gained unless there's some other issues we're not hearing about.

I can understand the disappointment but rejecting the car seems excessive... imho
