I am down at Porsche Exeter today getting the wife’s gts it’s first MOT and they flagged this as needing doing.
It’s a 0.64 hour job apparently and they are doing it today.
2015-2018 Macan Recall #ALA2
How could that be? I received the recall letter from Porsche HQ in Reading and just came off the phone to my local OPC to book the car in but was told they don't have the part yet until early April!!!
I don’t know I was as surprised as you.
However according to the service advisor they noted the recall at the start of last week and had the parts there ready to do it so did. I think it was the first to be done (by them).
I (well my wife) haven’t had the letter and after he mentioned the additional work looked on here to see if it was a known issue and found the thread.
It was Exeter OPC they they confirmed it was done after the MOT and look at some other warranty work (glue failing on door trim and peeling paint on exhaust tips).
Will call them tmrw and just confirm what they did assume it was a ‘rework’ after reading the bulletin.
I did hear some grinding in the workshop whilst I was sat in the waiting room working. So perhaps that was them working on hers.

Just had my letter arrive today so contacted local OPC.
Advised that parts due in Thursday HOWEVER they require the car prior to fitting to see which scope(1-6?) the car falls into before possibly ordering further parts. SO potentially 2 visits required!
I think I will hang on until the dust settles!

I spoke with service earlier today to book her in and was told to allow for at least half a day. Yes, 2 hours is what is suggested but he was clear that they wanted to allow a sufficient window. He said it can be quite tricky getting access.
Quite worryingly because a loaner would be needed the earliest possible dates were mid-late April.
