In a couple of months time it will be 6 years of Macan ownership for myself. I cannot think of a better car for the money. Will be getting an extended warranty next year. Just gave my car a good clean this afternoon and it looks like new.

I'm on my 3rd and the current one will be the last one I'll buy as I intend to keep it for the foreseeable future which will likely be beyond the point where they cease to be powered by an ICE. It is simply the best all round performance SUV you can buy.

5 seats, reasonable luggage space..
Hmmm... ours is used a lot for airport trips and with four on board plus luggage it can be quite a squeeze.

We once drove to Dublin (70 odd miles) for a day out with five on board and I was one of the rear seat passengers. Never again. They are only four seaters for long drives, in fairness. Ok for a short hop across town with five-up but not for long journeys with five adults.

My daughters boyfrIend has just come round in his new Q5 in Vorsprung spec. The only thing you need to add is metallic as the standard spec is huge

Dont tell your daughters boyfriend, but that car (interior design, seats, stuck on IPad screen and those running boards 🀒) It does nothing for me except reinforce how much better the Macan is all round πŸ€πŸ‘

I agree about the screen but the seats are really nice. Loads of kit though as standard.

Audi make some of the best interiors in the business and their cars are nice too. They still do nothing for me though / unless it’s an RSQ8..

Porsche are more simplistic in their approach which in turn makes most of their cars more timeless

Taking money into account I would have thought some other cars with 4 cylinders, lesser performance and slightly inferior ride/handling are better value as the Macan - particularly the Turbo - is an expensive car. Within the Macan range, again taking money into account I think the S offers the best value: most of the performance of the Turbo, all of the comfort and a little less standard equipment for nearly Β£20k less.

I've not been an an F-Pace SVR but as it has a thumping V8 the sound track will be better than the Macan and according to the road tests it offers a great all round experience for a few more £££. Perhaps someone here has experienced one.

If money isn't a consideration I would want to look at the new Aston Martin when it appears as it promises a lot as an all rounder.
I agree. I have a 2019 S and love it as a family weekend car, and for the wife and baby in the week. I don;t need it to tick the performance box as i have another car for that. But that;s not to say the S doesn't go well enough!

I'd say the only thing i'm left wanting for is a little more room for luggage (especially with a baby). I'm wondering if a Cayenne would have been better! Although have never driven one so not sure....

5 seats, reasonable luggage space, fast enough for overtaking idiots  , a bit sporty, lovely interior finish.....

I would like if it was a bit smaller - for parking mainly.

Great machine πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
