Having covered about 600 miles in the car I’ve noticed a road surface related buzz coming from what I thought was the drivers door mirror area, local OPC took the car in and had it for 3 days - decided it wasn’t the mirror but stripped the drivers door and returned the car fixed - 50 miles later the noise is back, again only on certain road surfaces (not rough as such but you notice an increase in tyre noise). I’m intending booking the car back in but was wondering if anyone had experienced similar. Thanks in advance. Andy

Take a good look at the panel above your shins/where the clutch and brake pedal arms hang from. The panel only has fastenings at the top.
just press your foot against it at the bottom when you hear the buzz. if the buzz stops you have found your noise and it can be fixed with some double sided sticky tape.

A 'difficult buzz'.........................

Mine (discovered and fixed by me) was the emergency wire thingy for getting the key out - that sits in a holder on the back of the dash end cap, accessed when the door is open. It clips into three plastic bosses - two in one direction the centre on keeping it in tension. It buzzed at certain frequencies instigated by road surface and engine rpm.

Went hunting for it after OPC said they would strip out the door casing................................(and introduce additional noises, no doubt)

Good luck

Ours developed a noise from around a similar area. Turns out it was the key mechanism. Key inserts and turns as normal, but then the key could be pushed in and out a little and this movement enabled a vibration. Still to be repaired yet as we are pretty close to the 80k service.
