I’m in a similar position – my new S is at the OPC awaiting final payment and collection. My personal circumstances haven’t changed and I would still like to have a new car. Note the word “like” not “need”. I could manage with what I have already but want to enjoy the fruits of my past labours while I still can. For local journeys I’ll be using our electron-powered second car anyway and the S will be there for longer trips.

Let’s face it, none of us “need” a Porsche ;) but if we only ever bought what we “needed” as opposed to “liked” or “wanted” then I think that life could be a little dull. :)

Still eagerly looking forward to my 992 Cab....it’s been at Sheerness since early / mid March and I’ve been without a car since then (sold into the trade in anticipation)

No-one “needs” a fast expensive car but if you can......why not?

“No pockets in shrouds” etc etc

It’ll be the last chance we get to buy a loud shouty petrol engined car........

Don't forget that Porsche threatened to add 10% to new vehicles in the event of a "no deal" Brexit and tariffs being applied. We still don't know how that will affect the car market and the government are determined not to extend Brexit talks

Update: Thanks for all comments everyone. I decided to go ahead with the purchase and colleceted the car yesterday. Drove it a few short miles straight to the detailers for gtechnic treatment. Should have it back for the end of the week when i'll upload a pic or two

Congrats on the new car.

Did the dealer give you any price or finance rate incentive to take the car rather than cancel?

I had already negotiated a small discount on the price when i placed deposit and Porsche offered me a discount rate on the finance pcp. I am not a fan of pcp's though and got a better rate of finance from my bank.
