Hi,
On a car I am looking at, the dealer is telling me the Macan (65 plate) has Bi-xenon PDLS. However, the car has strip day time running lights on the bumper and not the 4 dots around the xenon.
Does this mean they are wrong about it having the PDLS option? It is one option (4 dots around headlight) that I am keen on.
I understand the difference between LED and Bi-xenon but unsure on the 4 dots.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I have Bi-Xenon PDLS AND the four dots DRL's. Perhaps it was from 2016 with the face lift? Someone will be along soon to give the true reason.
Dolomite Silver 'S' with red leather 14 way seats, Pano roof, Bose, Air suspension with pasm, Chrono pack, PDLS, Surround view, 911 turbo wheels, heated screen, spare wheel, ioniser,75 lt tank, black tail pipes, black roof rails.
This was covered a couple of years ago, see below:

If the car has halogen headlights then the DRL function is undertaken by the inner set of headlights. For cars with Bi-Xenon or LED headlights, the inner set are dummies.
Just get the dealer to start the car and make sure the light switch is in the auto position.

Well, sorry to disagree but my car (July 2015) has Bi-Xenon and the four dots. PDLS came with Bi-Xenon in those early days but no longer does.

From the US - I have a 2015 Turbo with both the bi-Xenon and PDLS+ options - the bi-Xenon was
bundled with PDLS for the Turbo in the US, though not with the S.
PDLS+ was optional for the S and Turbo models back in 2015. It provides dynamic high bean functionality.
FWIW, PDLS includes:
* automatic and dynamic range control
* dynamic cornering function, swivels headlights
* static cornering lights

The four LEDs are there on the outer ring of the bi-xenon. They should light up when the car is switched on and main headlight off, similar to the photo @Guy has posted.
