This is mine for comparison. The line of your bonnet looks alot higher next to the window sill. Sorry for maybe spotting another issue :oops:

The plot thickens...I think the bonnets been off, some of the nuts look to me like they have been rounded off slightly. Why would you need to remove the bonnet?

The bonnet line can sit a little higher than the window trim here’s two examples, my previous car and another new one.

Just testing the water but anyone who has bought approved used, how was the bodywork, at what point do you say an amount of scratches/scuffs/dings are acceptable for a used car?
@MCDK exactly my thoughts.

I think you need to fully document your concerns and observations and your expectations from the dealer.

I don't know what rights you have under the circumstances in which you bought the vehicle, for example, does distance selling regulations apply and, if they do, under what conditions do they permit you to return the vehicle?

With the questions you are posing and the discrepancies you are finding, if I was in your shoes I'd be inclined to give the car back if I could.

I've been reading this post with some interest as I bought my car new from Leeds in Jan 2019, in the whole process to date I have had the full range from awful to excellent service, right now we are in ok to good mode.
As far as the findings on the turbo, firstly I would be a little suspicious considering the paintwork and bonnet alignment considering the low miles for age, has it been stood down a while for repairs?? Can you contact previous owner(s) for any clarification?
I just checked my bonnet see below

As you can see the paint is all intact on the bonnet fixings and the panels are aligned as should be, if anything the l/h side is 1mm higher but I can cope with that. I think yours has been off or adjusted at sometime and you should know why.
If it was me I would have to know the history and then make a decision on whether I was sold something which was value for money or not, to get a perfect one you may be looking at another chunk of money?
Hope you get it sorted out this has been some story!!!
