Best non-Porsche engine

What was/is your best non-Porsche engine?

Let’s assume that since Macan has a Porsche-tweaked engine, it is classified as Porsche.

My best engine was 3.0L straight-6, twin-turbo motor, mounted in a BMW 435i

What was/is yours?

The same engine in our M135i it's an absolute cracker. Almost the same engine as in my old E46 M3 but with turbo added. BMW straight sixes superb!

My B8 RS4 with dsg - couldn’t stop down shifting to hear the noise !!

Engine in my lotus is pretty good too - not a lot has the pick up of that !

I had a 2013 Mercedes C63 AMG estate - it had the 6.2 litre V8 engine. Naturally aspirated. Best engine I've had in any car, ever.
Great noise, amazing torque and simply crazy beyond 5000 rpm.
Unfortunately it was about the only thing I liked about the car and I sold it two months into ownership.

One of the girls that worked for me had one of those (well two to be precise as the first was a lemon!)

Unfortunately for her she always wanted to be the the first out of the office which was difficult for her as we could all hear her leaving !

The other chap that does that has a Nissan Leaf so he is fine !
