Just to be pedantic, the Cayenne Coupe does have a sunroof but it's fixed and does not open.

It's a matter of personal choice but I would have loved the option of a non-opening panoramic roof for my Macans.

I loved driving the Panamera but it is too big for my needs.

Worth a test drive :D

Thought the same some time back, the Panamera Turismo is a lovely car but my conclusion when compared directly to a Macan was: Too long (over 5metres) too low, too expensive. Didn’t drive one as I’d already ruled it out so cannot comment, still like the look of the Turismo though.

We had a Turismo E-Hybrid on loan for a day before buying the current Macan as I really wanted one but the wife wasn't so sure. While I really liked it and it hid its bulk very well during some spirited driving I just couldn't justify the additional £25K I would have spent (and lost) buying one new especially when the Macan is so capable.

I still look at them on AT and try and justify buying second hand but soon come to my senses.

I went from Macan S (No 2) to a Panamera. Given our driving requirements it was an unwise change although it looked great and performed well. Great when driving to Italy or Spain but not appropriate for our local rural roads in N Norfolk it was just too big. We realised later that the Macan was an excellent all-rounder.

Hi,

Yep, as pmg says, a Panamera has been part of my Porsche journey. :)

I bought a new 2017 Panamera 4, in Carmine Red. I did 17,000 miles in it in 12 months, but the yearning to get back into a 911 was just too great!

To be fair, I loved the Panamera. Pretty much the perfect executive saloon, I think. Everyone talks about its size, but not sure they’ve all covered 17k miles in one over a year. ;) I honestly didn’t find the length, or width, an issue. If you check, the extra width of a Panamera compared to a Macan is negligible. As for the length, I didn’t have problems with parallel parking etc. Plus I didn’t bother with surround view, or rear camera. Just the sensors were fine.

And I think the Turismo looks great, but I liked the ‘911’ look to the rear of mine, from certain angles.

Mine had air suspension and I pretty much always drove it in the lowest mode. When hustling along, it felt compact and sports car-like. Great car.
