Not sure for an i3. With a Tesla you can simply set the charge limit to 50% and leave it plugged in for as long as you like. But I have a feeling the i3 only charges to an indicated 100% (but more like 80-90% in reality) which is fine for daily use, but not ideal for long term storage. I really would like to go EV for the daily hack, but reality is we currently (apart from current Covid restrictions) go away for 4 months.
How would the battery cope?
