A mate of mine had a silver one when they first came out, his best story was when he ended up being chased down Scottish roads/ motorway for 28 miles before they could stop him! He thought it was someone wanting a race! he was clocked @ 130mph in places. When they stopped him he spoke in one of his foreign languages, cops didn't have a clue what to do. He didn't lose his license, but that is story not to aired on a public forum. Today you would probably be sewing mailbags.

That looks lovely. Quick mot check and it doesn't look like its moved much in the past 3 years. Not sure if these like to sit for long periods? Looks like you've done your homework on them though. Good luck...I'd love one. I remember having a matchbox 928 and also a neighbour had a brand new red one back in 1990ish.

I would get it inspected because I’m not overly mechanically minded so they can do the rest of the homework for me!

The story appears to be they never got to take it out as kids grew up.

As he say he works in motorsport F1 to WEC to formula E it would seem so isn’t around much at weekends either to enjoy it.

According to my Indie who services my Boxster he used to work @ OPC Wilmslow, he says that the electrics can be troublesome on them.

Lovely looking machine! Fingers crossed that the inspection report confirms that it is as good as it looks! :)

I've got one i'm putting on the market.

It's a 1992 GTS with just over 150k miles on the clock.

Due for a cambelt this summer and has a small bump on the right rear wheel arch.

It's always been on a decent oil with plenty of zddp and been serviced at Autostrasse Coggeshall for the last 8 years or so.

Beautiful sounding car as it's got a Ritech X Pipe and Hayward and Scott RMB.

I've had it since January 1996 but it'll show as a three owner car as i bought it from my company when the company car tax got silly.

Reason for sale is that i don't use it enough now i have the Macan; OH has a 911 and i use a tatty Suzuki day to day.

Comes with full paper WSM plus cats, air pump and a lovely selection of cassettes plus cd changer. Stereo is part Pioneer.

I know it's not concours so will price realistically!

I'm in N E Essex, 07976426579 if you want more info.

Sorry Tim (I assume that is your name!😏)missed this

I was after a low mileage car as a form of investment but good luck selling yours

I’ve settled for a low mileage S4 now and placed a deposit on one, subject to an independent inspection. Dealer has a good reputation so I’m hoping all will be in order.

Couple of pics below.

You’ve worked it out from those few pics where it is and yes they do!!

How about a 356S for £500k.

This is by far the cheapest

I’m buying as an investment (and occasional weekend use - it will go in to storage with the Jag after a few weeks and then I’ll wheel it out ever so often) so I wanted better condition than the GTS was and more comprehensive history both of which this has got.
