Would welcome advice & comments.
Looking at a 2018 reg. Macan. Standard wheels are 18 inch with 60 profile tyres on the front & 55 profile tyres on the rear which I imagine would give a comfortable daily ride.
This car has been fitted with 20 inch wheels so the tyre profiles are now 35 front & 30 on the rear.
I think this will give a hard teeth rattling daily driver.

Would welcome members comments / views

Thanks
Yamavira.

There is something wrong here as the standard profile for Macan 20 inch wheels are 45 front and 40 rear. Those standard ones ride fine and but obviously not as soft as a car on 18 or 19's . Even the 21's should be on 40 front 35 rear profiles so 35 and 30 seems extreme and will be putting gearing and speeds to etc

Does the car have Air Suspension and/or PASM?

These will improve the ride.

I even find 21’s fine, 20’s with the correct tyres will be comfortable, I run them in the winter.

As PMG has said, there is something wrong here. Apart from the profile, the load and speed rating are important. For 20 inch wheels the fronts should be 104Y and the rears 106Y.

I think someone has fitted 911 wheels and tyres to the car. Avoid would be my recommendation.

Hi Guys
Much appreciate the replies. This is (perhaps was) to be my first Porsche. I feel you have confirmed my concerns regarding the ride. I do not want a hard ride daily driver.
In addition if the wheel/tyre setup is not to OME spec then it should be declared when seeking insurance cover. Increased premium.
Surprised that setup is not one listed for the Macan as the car is on sale at a main Porsche dealership.
Cheers

Hi Again
Will have to check with the dealership as they have not yet replied to my request for the details of the tyres fitted on th car.
If the wheel / tyre combo fitted is to OME spec what mileage can I expect from the Front / Rear tyres. No crazy driving of course.
Cheers

My SD came (as new) with Pirelli P Zero tyres on 20" wheels. They lasted 21K miles. Some have managed more than that and some less.
