Had a new ID.4 for the weekend. Covered about 250 miles and not a drop of petrol or diesel used lol.
Huge inside with more space than my Macan had so the kids and dogs love it, very quiet and serene drive. Have tried a few electric vehicles now and would say it’s the most impressive so far.
Range was reading 205 miles when I got it but that must have improved a bit with my longer trips as I charged it yesterday and added about 50 miles and left it back with a range of well over 100 left.
Thinking of it as a company vehicle as it’s a no brainer bargain, as a private as purchase I’m not so sure they make financial sense with the high purchase price albeit partly compensated by the low running costs.
Volkswagen ID.4
Don’t think I ever said it was beautiful lol but there aren’t many reasonably cost EVs that look any better. The “beauty” is in the cost, £7 per month for a basic rate tax payer and £14 for a 40% tax payer. That’s car, insurance, charging, servicing all included.
I think it looks very nice for £14MCDK wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 7:40 pm Don’t think I ever said it was beautiful lol but there aren’t many reasonably cost EVs that look any better. Tesla would be costing a lot more than one of these. About 10k difference in the list prices and a reasonable monthly difference on lease costs.
Not sure I would put a Model 3 before it even if the price was the same but we have done the Tesla is the greatest thing on the road arguments on here to death.
