Yes, I know it’s the complete opposite of my low slung, bright yellow, German sports car - but I love these!!

Saw one in the metal this week. Looked awesome!

If I ‘needed’ a more practical car to replace my 911, I’d be sorely tempted...!

Caveat emptor sir. My experience with JLR products is awful. View a few YouTube videos before you buy, such as below. Savage Geese guys are good.

I preferred the robustness of the previous Defender 90/110. I can't imagine the military ordering this new one - it just doesn't look soldier proof!

That said, it does look good for a less demanding (perhaps more fashion-conscious) market :D

I’m not gonna go out and buy one tomorrow, but I really like it. Reviews are good. It seems really well designed & engineered. As it says in the above video, the complexity of the thing may be a concern, in view of JLR’s reliability reputation :? Having said that, I ran an Evoque for three years as my last company car and that was faultless.

I would agree with that. I was just amazed at the height when I topped across the road from the supermarket opposite the Pulborough dealer. With the now all 6cyl and 8cyl options now probably the best offroader and with the refinement to be an all journey, all-road vehicle.

A lot of their recent group problems have been with electrical, media and nav systems on moving to modern systems and they may have solved those now.
