I just couldn't believe "my" SE always saying "call me...." never "I'll call you" :x It's not changed either I recently asked about a test drive in a drop top, "remind me in mid August we're registering a new 718 Cayman" I did, by email, no response!

Maybe they’ll give you a go in a Toyota Hybrid instead! ;) :P

I'm also going to put an order in for an Ineos Grenadier when the order books open up in October, anyone else interested in this old school off roader.

I think this is a great looking vehicle and I hope it gains the popularity and sales it deserves. If they've got the spec, quality and price right it could become the true replacement for the old Defender world wide. There are those who say it's too late and that cheap pickups have filled the void, also that most Grenadiers will be 'Chelsea Tractors' or fashion statements for footballers, but while this will happen to some extent no doubt hopefully they will be used widely if they get the package right.

Agreed Nick, I love the look of the new Defender but can't help thinking it is going to take sales away from the Rangie and the Disco rather than be a true defender replacement. The Grenadier feels like the nearest thing to a proper Defender replacement.

Yes I agree Arif. While the Defender has some pretty amazing off-road capabilities, as well as on road, most will not be challenged in that respect very often.

I'm sure the Defender will take some sales from Range Rover owners. I do seem to be getting a fair few admiring glances from RR drivers and believe me its not my good looks thats drawing their attention lol The Defender stole my sale from a Cayenne, and I'm sure will attract SUV buyers who think other brands have gone soft and are these days and are little more that a people carrier replacement. The Macan I always felt covered the other end of the SUV market, that is the real sports car SUV, but to be honest many of the rest are little more than a Renault Espace in drag.
