Obviously, it had PDK (8 speed). My first three Porsches were PDK too.

But it was with joy that I climbed back into my 911, with its glorious manual transmission. Man & machine in perfect harmony. :P Well, maybe not, but I certainly feel much more involved in the driving experience and at one with the car, swapping the cogs manually. And the auto-blip function is wonderful! :)

You won’t regret it. ;)
Yes but the Cayenne box may be labelled PDK (??) but is a torque converter automatic not a dual clutch.

In the Macan, I basically drive normal in auto in traffic and then in sport and manual and using the paddles for changes on the open road. if I find that avoids all the issues of letting the pdk choose the change points in sport or sports plus and still a high degree of involvement without torque converter slippage etc

Correction: As pmg says, it’s not actually a PDK in the Cayenne I drove, but an 8-speed Tiptronic S hybrid transmission! :geek:

Porsche put a torque convertor trans in the Cayenne as they have higher maximum towing loads and the reckon the Cayenne more likely to be towing the likes of horse boxes than the Macan

That’s a lovely choice!
Very smoothy done.

The only thing I would consider, is the rear nomenclature.
Black script on green, right next to chrome script on black can look a little bust to some.

I do love the P O R S C H E script though. Tricky one.

Congrats on your order!

Semerka’s JP enjoyed a speedy jaunt to Southern Bohemia in October. Rev limiter in sixth was briefly hit on the Autobahn.

We popped out to this lovely local road between the lakes after dinner one evening to take a quick video.
While you’re waiting for your car, you can imagine how good this felt blasting through the gears :)
@Red5 is your number plate related to John Player Special (black/gold) theme from the 70s?
