I have to admit that I am impressed with the baseline Boxster handling, performance and sound.
I can’t wait to get the Cayman GTS with flat-6 motor, but for summer Boxster is a great car.
718 Cayman S
They are good aren't they. I had a base 718 Boxster for 18 months which I sold for nearly what I paid for it a couple of months ago. Loved the performance and thought the noise was perfectly acceptable despite what other less informed people have said. Hopefully you'll get some great miles in yours this summer.

I am enjoying Boxster with long-legged manual transmission more and more. I might have to take the GTS4.0 with manual transmission for a spin again and possibly change the order to M/T.
The M/T in my hands is much slower than point and shoot PDK, but I am enjoying old school controls. Having said that, I have to be careful with my selection, as this might be my last new ICE car, so it should be a keeper, for longer than expected.

I am still waiting for my build-slot, but here is my new GTS 4.0 spec:

What do you think? This will be for everyday use, so need to be sensible.

Hi Pivot, I had a look at your configuration.
If you are now leaning towards the manual transmission, you could then either have the GTS Interior or the Extended Leather Interior for the money you save on the PDK.
Or if you like the Race-Tex, opt for the Race-Tex interior with extensive items in leather.
The cabin is a nice place to be with the dashboard and the top of the doors, etc. lined in leather (rather than plastic).
Also perhaps consider the dual climate control, it's much easier for controlling the aircon. We only have the bogo aircon in our car and we keep adjusting the temperature and the blower (two separate buttons). Whereas climate control is all auto.

No Macans visible in that car park, is the poor man's Porsche not allowed in?

Ha ha, I would not call Macan a poor mans' Porsche!
There was a Macan and a Cayenne too, but they were out of the shot.

Maybe I will venture allong to one of the Clubs R7 monthly meetings then. I'll have to wash it though!
