Configurator Addiction!

Hi. My name is Simon and I’m addicted to the configurator!

Probably because it’s over 3.5 years since I had a new car - the longest that I’ve ever kept a car!

While I’m planning on keeping my car for a while longer, my mind does wander... :P

If, heaven forbid, your pride & joy was stolen, or written off, what would you replace it with?

Here’s mine - a Shark Blue Cayman 4.0 GTS 8-)

Hi Simon
Been 15 years since I had my last Porsche
Decided to get back into one this year
Spent many months reading up on which model
Eventually decided the Macan S was the car for me
Visited the OPC in early April only to be told there was the Gen 3 coming out was advised to wait which was ok as it gave me even more time on the Configurator Paid My deposit late May and have been told my build date is this Friday 🤞

Hope you eventually get the car you wish for
👍

Good news on your build date! :D

Am very happy with my current 911 Carrera T :) but like I say, it doesn’t stop my mind from wandering occasionally. ;)

My girlfriend keeps talking sense into me. And yellow is her favourite colour!

You’re a hopeless case Simon! Let’s hope it’s the girlfriend that’s the keeper!

When i last specced a new Porsche, back in 2005 !, i spent far too many hours on the configurator - working to a budget , adding and removing items to find an optimum build, and then stretching the budget and starting all over again :D

Sadly i rejected that vehicle on delivery day, and had to urgently source a demonstrator vehicle from another OPC - as it happens, buying the 4 month old demo meant i got far better spec for my money; and I then kept it 15 years.

Hours of fun to be had playing 'what if i go this way, or that...' or 'if i win the lottery' game

They had the internet in 2005!?

Joking aside, why'd you reject it?

Would really like to ow why you rejected it.

I failed to reject a brand new A4 years ago with Mark's on all 4 doors where some idiot had used abrasive pad to remove the padding glue or something. Spent a year of pain eventually suing
