Hello All

Not been on for a while so thought I would check in and good to see that the forum is still active and good to see some of you old timers still on here. Great friendly forum this one which I've been on since 2014 shortly after which I got my first Macan, some 8 years ago. Still fondly remember our first meet up in Lincoln.

Anyway managed to get a June build slot for a July delivery for a 992 Turbo. Helpfully this is before the significant Porsche price rise. If I specced the same car with a July build it would be some £15k more expensive with the extras! Porsche price rises are getting a little bit ridiculous. Not only has the base price gone up significantly but the extras have increased even more! The Sales Exec told me that there are lots of people ringing the dealership to see if they can find a June build for a Macan!

Waiting times for any description of 911 are pretty much 2 years which means several price rises before delivery, hence very strong second hand prices for 992s.

Anyway for you 911 fans this is my build for the 992 turbo thankfully without the MY24 price rise:

Congrats on your allocation, the spec is incredible. Dream car right there.

Thanks Guys - yes I thought I'd treat myself to a nice spec before we can't buy an ICE car! it is ridiculous the wait times.

I had a Jimny for a bit but sold that last year and bought a Swift Sport so that I could use it to teach the eldest to drive and still have a fun little hot hatch.

Hope you’re well. Your Turbo looks very smart indeed, and I’m sure you’ve used your skill & experience to spec it to minimise/avoid depreciation. ;)

Thanks Simon - got all the essentials but this time I've been a bit frivolous and gone with some extra glossy bits, upgraded wheels and seats and some nice tech.

Hope you are still enjoying the T!

Yep, still enjoying the T, thanks! Had it now for just over 5 years and more than 45,500 miles/smiles! :)

Only issue with getting a 992 now is the facelift that is likely to appear in a very short time.
