Thanks Col - I did think about the Go faster strips but I think that may have been grounds for divorce! She tolerates my frivolous spending on cars but would probably draw the line on that.

Only issue with getting a 992 now is the facelift that is likely to appear in a very short time.

The problem is the 992.2 Turbo won't be out for delivery for at least 18 months - they are probably going to release C2S C4S early 2024.

For many they won't be getting a 911 for 2 years if they ordered one now and face at least two more price increases. The price rises themselves are shoring up used prices.

If I didn't take this slot probably would have had to wait another two years - life's too short.

Coincidentally a pal of mine picked this up from Nottingham yesterday- says he’s going to flip it in six months and expects to get his £193k back!

Jon, I think your mate may be right, because of the MY24 price rise as well - it's keeping residuals very strong. You just have to look at used 992 prices across the range.

Followed a turbo S for a short while through Manchester City centre lastnight....sounded alot better than I thought it would on both idle and acceleration except for the synthetic pops n bangs (I think that's in sports mode but doesn't happen in sport plus?) And it was rapid....I mean really rapid!!!

Thanks Andy - I've had 991.1 Turbo S and that was sensationally fast. From people that have had a 992 Turbo, the experience is that this version is a bit more raw and less GT than the last one - rides firmer and sportier.

Thanks - I was going to go with GT Silver (as usual) but they showed me a Targa 4S in Arctic Grey and it looked pretty stunning. That was the clincher.

Yes still love it and no plans to change at minute - your turbo will be awesome and love the colour.
